Dr. Els van der Helm founded Shleep after a decade of experience in sleep research. She advises and coaches business leaders on how to improve performance, health and engagement through sleep management.
Her research at UC Berkeley, Harvard Medical School and NL Institute for Neuroscience resulted in multiple peer-reviewed articles, journals and several book chapters. Her publications have been featured by Harvard Business Review, McKinsey Quarterly, Huffington Post, Inc. Magazine and many others.
For over three years she worked as a management consultant at McKinsey where her passion for both leadership and sleep management made her develop and facilitate training programs for both McKinsey consultants and clients.
Dr. van der Helm holds a PhD in Psychology from UC Berkeley and two MSc degrees from the University of Amsterdam and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Sleep fanatic. Elena received her PhD with a focus on circadian rhythms. She loves developing tools and promoting knowledge about the role sleep and circadian rhythms play in our day to day lives – to ultimately improve our health and performance.

Health psychologist and eHealth fan. Kristýna developed an app promoting healthy behaviors for her master thesis. Coordinates the website development, and creative and psychology-related projects.

Koen is our IT and communication expert – we would still be offline without him. As a back-end developer, he makes sure our communication channels connect us to the world.

Dr. Kate Kaplan is a licensed psychologist with 15 years of experience researching and treating sleep disorders. She focuses on clarifying the relationship between sleep and mental health, in addition to continuing research at Stanford.
Dr. Elizabeth Mason is a clinical psychologist at St Vincent’s Hospital and a conjoint lecturer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia. Dr. Mason has extensive experience in the treatment of sleep, anxiety, and mood disorders.
Dr. Ellie McGlinchey is a licensed psychologist in New York City with 15 years of experience researching sleep and how to treat sleep disorders.
Dr. Saletin researches the neurobiology of sleep, in particular how sleep shapes brain function in children suffering from neurobehavioral disorders such as ADHD.
